Some albums are made. Others are excavated.

The Night Crazies began in a basement, long nights, raw energy, and a younger me pouring everything I had into my music and a dream. But those recordings were shelved, life happened, and for sixteen years they gathered dust. That basement would later become the emotional touchstone for The Basement Cassettes, but these songs were there first, waiting.

Then came the question every artist eventually asks: what if those tracks finally got the production they always deserved? What followed was an act of creative archaeology, returning to those original recordings not as a nostalgic exercise, but as a modern producer stepping in for my younger self. The emotion was always there. The craft just needed catching up.

The result is unmistakably VSP, the same DNA that runs through everything in my catalogue, just rawer and more feral. This is where it all began, before the albums, before the craft was refined. Sixteen years later, it finally sounds like its true self.
